wording spacerchoosing flat or folded cards
Do you plan to write a personal note on each of your cards? If you want to send the same card out to everyone without writing anything, our flat cards are ideal. But if you want to write different personal messages to everyone, you'll have plenty of space on our folded cards. Alternatively, we could print a personal message from you inside our folded cards. Decisions, decisions....

RSVP
You could simply have 'R.S.V.P.' on the bottom of your invitations. Alternatively, you could help your guests reply to you by providing your address, email address and/or phone number. If you're in a hurry, you could ask your guests to reply by a certain date e.g. RSVP by 20th October, or you could have R.S.V.P. A.S.A.P.

setting the tone
The wording of your invitations sets the tone for your party.

Formal invitations are normally for black tie events and are written in the third person e.g. "Mr and Mrs Smith request the honour of your presence...".

Contemporary invitations are for more informal gatherings and are written in the second person e.g. "We'd like to invite you to...". For an even more fun approach for children's birthday invitations etc, why not use the first person e.g. "I'd like to invite you to my birthday party!... R.S.V.P. My Mummy and Daddy".

Over the last five years, we've noticed a trend away from formal, traditional invitations to more friendly, contemporary ones. However, traditional invitations are still appropriate for certain situations. If you're unsure about your wording, don't worry! We happy to make suggestions.
